RADIO/ RADAR WORKSHOP

Radio and Radar will always be a vital part of aircraft avionics. Extensive investment allows us to manage both old and new avionic technology. Our Radio Workshop has the facility to meet the needs of our customers and the flexibility to adapt to future requirements

INSTRUMENT WORKSHOP

The Instrument department is a purpose-built Workshop equipped with high-precision test equipment and offers an extensive capability on all types of general cockpit instrumentation. Units covered range from engine monitoring to manometric type instruments such as Altimeters (Servo & Sensitive), Airspeed Indicators, and various general indicators. Some units are franchised and supported fully by the OEM, which allows us to provide a fast and efficient service.

GYROSCOPIC WORKSHOP

We are equipped with a variety of test equipment to calibrate the full range of gyroscopic and precision instruments.

Clean Room accreditation is a Class 7 rating in accordance with EN ISO 14644-1 : 1999. The improvement over our previous Class 8 rating was achieved by primarily improving flow patterns, internal procedures and the filter system, this now means that together with our class 3 Clean Room cabinets we greatly exceed industry standards for general mechanical gyroscopic equipment.

ELECTRICAL WORKSHOP

The workshop is fully equipped with a 60KW variable speed generator drive unit capable of speeds up to 15,000RPM and load banks with a capacity up to 60 KVA and 500A DC. Heavy AC and DC supplies are available for the testing for a large range of electrical and electronic aircraft components. The versatility of the electrical workshop ensures a wide range of components are covered, giving our customers a large electrical component coverage on a variety of aircraft types. On-going development ensures capability expansion to meet our customer requirements.

UKRAINE WORKSHOP

On the 15th November 2006 Oakenhurst Aircraft Services Ltd was officially given EASA Part 145 approval of its Ukraine facility Oakenhurst Ltd by the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority. This overseas facility which operates in accordance with our current Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) will increase our already expanding capability.
